Oh, you were talking about chips ... I thought you were referring to the drive
and/or media ... _that_ would've surprised me.

As for chips: I never blew a single one by static electricity. Easy to avoid,
either just touch a good ground during work regularly, or get one of these
nifty little wrist cables that go for $5.
