Re: Ciderpress for OS/X?
The old G3 tower with 300 Mhz or more is my favorite computer. It is
pretty much the only computer you need that can access all the old
drives. Not only can you run OSX 10.3.9 on them to access the
journalled drives under OSX but you can also boot into OS9 which
allows you to read Prodos, HFS, HFS extended, FAT, and FAT16 from both
the floppy and the zip drive. And then if you want to transfer files
to a computer with NTFS, there is file sharing. My G3 stays plugged
into a router and nothing is easier to transfer all my Apple II files
to the G3 with the floppy drive, then on to either my G5 with OSX or
PC with Windows XP.
I said it once before, and I will say it again. You can't beat an old
Power Mac for emulation programs. Also there is quite a selection for
emulation software as well for Macintosh. From Nintendo's game boy to
the Genesis to Colecovision to the Commodore 64. What a great hobby
this is!
