Do a google search for a DVD drive that works in the clamshell macs. I did and got one for $17 delivered. Lots of online tutorials for doing such upgrades.
I found mine on eBay.Then again, different clamshell macs differ on what OSX version will work, if memory serves. Google can find out which does what...
