Profile drive and profile controller card

Hi, y'all!

A few years ago I acquired a 5 MB Profile drive. About a year
ago, I finally powered up the drive and the drive light blinked the
way it is supposed to, when it starts. But I had no controller card
to see if the drive did more than just initialize successfully.

I recently won a Profile controller card on eBay. But, according
to the information on the AppleLogic site (URL below my sig) the ROM
on the controller card is for a 10 MB Profile drive. The September
15, 1998 issue of "The Lamp", under the heading PROFILING THE PROFILE,
has conflicting comments about whether or not the ROM on the
controller card has to match the size of the drive. Right now, I
can't test the combination of the controller card and the drive
because I've either misplaced or lost the cable for connecting the two
together. While I search for the cable, can anyone tell me if I must
get my hands on a 341-0271-A ROM (the part number mentioned on the
AppleLogic site) if I'm to have the controller card the and 5 MB drive
successfully work together?
