Why do you have the HD in 5, and the 3.5 in 7 (backwards from normal)? Sean Fahey www.a2central.com bbs.a2central.comI want to be able to boot from floppies if I want to. If the HD was in 7, it'd always boot to the HD (overriding the floppies).
But it's trivial to run a program from the hard disk to boot from either floppy. In fact, if you boot to the Applesoft prompt, just a "pr#6" or "pr#5" will boot the respective floppies. ProSel 8 boots to a menu screen and it is common for a couple of the menu items to be "Boot slot 6" and "Boot slot 5". Always booting first from the hard drive also allows the Zip Chip utility to run, configuring it for your machine setup. If you're not currently using ProSel and its suite of utilities to manage your hard drive, you will be delighted with the power and range of capabilities it provides. -michael ******** Note new website URL ******** NadaNet and AppleCrate II for Apple II parallel computing!
