Finally I had some time this weekend to downgrade the firmware of my
CFFA card.
As there are two eeprom banks, I installed both version 1.0 and
version 2.0 of the CFFA firmware onto the card.
The good news is that when I downgraded to version 1.0, Apple invaders
(and all the other games that didn't previously work) on my 100 game
CFFA card now work! Unfortunately, that means firmware v2.0 is
definitely causing some issues in running these programs on my II+.
When I removing JP3 (to activate firmware v2.0), the games no longer
run as before.
I've emailed Rich with the news, hopefully we can get to the bottom of
the issue.
