Re: Apple III developers - Was there ever such a thing?
Hi Dean,
The CB accelerator concept is expected to compatible with the II/IIe/
IIgs and possibly the III/III+, depending if we can get info on the
III's bus behaviour (timing diagrams etc). Confirming full access to
the FPGA with acceptable bus levels, drive and timing is what we have
be working on. Although Carte Blanche has a 14MHz 65C816 "brawn"
processor attached to it via the ASIC adaptor board, Alex's 28MHz soft
core "brains" 65/C02 could well outperform it, making the soft core
approach far superior from low cost and greater flexibility. Lots of
research, so its just the preliminaries at the moment.
