Let's not stereotype, please.
In the absence of a moderator, the solution to any flaming/trolling is
straightforward; ignore the source.
The community becomes self-moderating -- if someone with a history of bad
behaviour asks for help, they are less likely to receive help in return from
the people they've alienated. It is in everyones best interest to be civil.
Sorry for stating the obvious. Sometimes I have to be reminded too.
