not wanting to interrupt the cross-language comparison of  syntax for
incrementing, but I need some guidance on requirements for the venue.

My plan A was to try and book (for a day) a cafe come night club which
had a good mix of open space, tables, a big screen and a great sound
system. But I popped by today and it was all boarded up - there were
some signs of renovations so maybe it will be back soon but obviously
I need to start scouting alternatives, so may need to make some
tradeoffs.

Can I ask everyone who is interested enough to read this message (even
if you're not sure if you are going to actually attend) to tell me the
relative importance of these criteria (plus anything else important I
may have missed).

1) comfy seating
2) good audio visuals
3) space for people to set up their own systems.

Also, does 10-20 people still seem a reasonable estimate?

Here's a draft agenda:

Friday night - dinner at a restaurant
Saturday 10 - 5 : con proper (speakers/demos/panels etc - obviously
we'll need to sort this stuff out soon)
Sat night: dinner, and if we've scored a venue with a good a/v setup,
show some dvds
Sunday morning (weather permitting) : bbq brunch in a park (kids
welcome).
