I had some free time to look around some of the Apple II stuff that I
have lying around and saw my Mastery Development network cards (both
teacher and student cards). I'll be looking to see if I can get these
cards going again (for no particular reason except to learn about
them). I know I've booted the student card before and saw a menu, but
I haven't had a chance to boot from the teacher card. I'm pretty sure
it will need a hard disk on the teacher machine.
What were your experiences with these cards? Do you know if the
teacher card works on a IIgs? I know Mastery Development provided the
hardware equipment for a network setup, but was the physical network
cable just a straight M-M DB-25 connection? Both cards have a cable
with two attached female DB-25s. Are all 25 lines needed? I'm barely
on the hardware side of things and haven't even gone to the software
needed (if any) to run the setup.
