I've been trying to improve my proficiency using my IIGS and System
6.0.1. I've been researching and learning thing I'd never known (either
in my first texperience, 15 years ago, nor in the last year since I got
another Rom 3.
While working away with it, today (trying to get the icons I wanted to
display to display the way I wanted them!), I am sure I read somewhere
that there is a way to get "clean up" to arrange icons within the width
of the window that is open. Sometimes when you have a crowd of icons
and the window is three icons wide, "clean up" will array them four or
five wide.
Now, I am sure that I read that, but when I go back to the System 6.0.1
"What's New" and "Shortcut" files, I don't find mention of it. I don't
see it in Jerry Kindall's "The System 6 Book" either.
Did I just imagine it, or misunderstand something else I read?
Is there a way to do this?
