If you have a partition larger than 32MB then the ProDOS block
interface is not up to the task. You need to use the SmartPort
Protocol Converter interface directly. Even on the IIe this allows
access to partitions up to 2^24 blocks (8GiB). AFAIR, on a IIgs the
Extended SmartPort supports 32 bit block numbers.
