I'm involved with several different non-profit organizations, but the one
that offers wildflower ID walks that are free and open to the public is
the Marin chapter of the California Native Plant Society. The upcoming
hikes are all listed at http://www.marin.edu/cnps

I've been leading virtually 100% of the hikes for them for the past 4
years, but have recently stepped back a little bit. So, although I have
every intention of being on the Kirby Cove hike this weekend as well as
all the other ones listed at the website, I've recruited friends to lead
the upcoming hikes. Although we'll be stopping and looking and
photographing every wildflower we come across, there's a special focus
this Sunday; it's a treasure hunt for a native orchid that hasn't been
spotted in 50 years, and so the guy obsessed with native orchids is
leading it.

I haven't yet seen the weather report, but heavy rain the morning of the
hike will cancel that hike.

As far as googling my phone number, it is unlisted for a reason and I'd
prefer that people NOT call me about Apple II related issues. Please
respect that request. My e-mail is joko@foxvalley.net
