I had a similar problem with my Apple joystick. On the advice of somebody here on the list I ended up opening up the joystick and spraying the buttons with contact cleaner, which I purchased at Radio Shack. The contact cleaner fizzed a bit. I waited for it to dry, reassembled the joystick, and it worked perfectly since.
That was just solvent evaporating--best to operate the switch while the cleaner is still wet. -michael ******** Note new website URL ******** NadaNet and AppleCrate II for Apple II parallel computing!
