Is postage that expensive?  Crazy.

A board like you describe above and a half-height drive mechanism
could probably be mounted quite nicely in a Disk ][ case. ;-)
(Or - perversely -in a Mac mini case.)

I like that!  ;-)

In the past, I've considered putting an Apple II in an old Mac case.
