I have a IIgs that I've installed Proline BBS on and a Mac LC575 that I've
installed NetBSD on... and I have very little experience with either one.
What I'd like to do is connect the Mac directly to the IIgs via the serial
ports (with a Mac printer cable) so that I can login to the BBS from
NetBSD.
I'm assuming that the "Modem Emulation" modemcap on Proline would do the
job on that end, but correct me if I'm wrong.
The question is how would I connect from the NetBSD side? Do I need a
specific program to do this or is it just a matter of hammering in some
arcane mumbo-jumbo at the command line? And if the latter, where can I
find a how-to guide? I've googled the hell out of it, but apparently I
don't really know what I'm searching for ;-)
TIA
