Functionally same. OTOH, the small differences are for example that 8C
doesn't have the colour-burst mixing at all (always mono).

I'd bet it's more likely problem in emulator - CPU, bus or timing.
Have you tried running it on a real Apple?
I haven't seen this title, but the name sounds kind of familiar.
Should be local game, right?
