The reason for the asking about the SRAMs on the bottom or not, if any

same thing inside.

They are totally different. The SRAMs showing is a redesigned part,
and was made to use off the shelf, tested SRAMs for cache vs. stamping
their own integrated cache which was a major source of failure, RMA
wise.

You may then also just try applying heat to each lead for 4 seconds or
so, too. But what you will find is that it's a ceramic/hybrid with the
leads soldered on like a SIPP.

I'm having a hard time visualizing the interior. If the SIPP-like boards are oriented vertically and the SRAMs are horizontal, is there some type of bridge between them? There would almost have to be.

Applying heat blindly would be a last resort. A few of them are fractured at the base and ready to break off :-(. This thing is truly built like a piece of crap, to be honest.

If I can get an X-Ray of the unit, I'll try some Dremel tool surgery.
