Last I checked, interpreters were banned on the iPhone by the license
agreement all developers sign. Apple also checks all applications
before allowing them in the App Store. Unless policies change, that
makes it unlikely that an emulator for the Apple ][ will ever be on
the iPhone.

Hrm, I wonder how fast a 6502 emulator (e.g. http://www.6502asm.com/) would execute in Safari on the iPhone. I'm guessing it's an order of magnitude slower than 1MHz, but that's unsubstantiated speculation... and that's not counting the overhead for updating the display and other stuff that would be even more entertaining with Apple II hardware.

(Hrm.. and check out this post: http://www.6502asm.com/chat/viewtopic.php?t=146)

I've had people send me examples from http://calormen.com/Applesoft dutifully pecked out on the iPhone keyboard (that's dedication!). I have the device myself and may make a more iPhone friendly interface to that page at some point.
