     Yes. ROM 00 machines are relatively rare. Some early software will
run correctly only on that IIgs version. 

     Having another ROM-01 IIgs may be nice; but, it's doubtful that the
conversion is worth the cost and bother. Lots easier to just find another
ROM-01. 

     Suggest you keep it.
