Yep, true.

UV light (sun, fluorescent bulbs) certainly does it, albeit pretty
slowly.   However, I think HEAT is even worse, and faster.

Time itself, if a factor, seems to be the least problematic.   For
example, I have an old HP4 printer .. These things yellow like mad in
the sun or office environments.   However, mine originally came from
an industrial environment where it was quickly covered in a greasy
sludge for its entire, poor life.  You have never seen a printer this
GROSS.   Why did I BUY it?  Yes.. BUY?

Because under all that sludge was a perfect set of plastics... zero
yellowing.   I don't think I used the engine from that machine, but
after cleaning up all the plastics, I've a new looking restored
printer.
