Re: Scanning

A couple of questions.

1) I have Apple II cards I'd like to scan and I have taken pictures
with a digital camera which didn't give me the detail I'd like. Does
a flat bed scanner harm cards in any way with the light running
across? I realize with EPROMs I need to cover them up before
scanning.

No need (and they should already have opaque stickers on their windows).

The scanning light is of short duration and not a problem.

You'll need to be sure that your scanner has good depth of focus.
Some only focus sharply within a millimeter or two of the glass.

BTW, a frame-filling >7MP macro photo provides plenty of detail.
You'll need a "copy style" lighting setup with at least two
side lights.
