In DOS 3.3 days, B = Binary = program you would BRUN -- Maybe.

Under ProDOS, BIN is generally supposed to be binary data. Anything that 
fits the bill. And disk images would fit that.

I usually used ProTYPE to type my Apple II files on the Mac end before 
transferring them to my GS, but I don't know if it recognizes .dsk. (It 
will set the Mac Filetype/Creator based on the three letter extension of 
a file if it exists, but it is limited to what the author knew about.)
