While recently trying to image a few disks for upload, I have had
limited success. Using SST, Disk2File and CiderPress, I have
successfully made working NIB images of DOS 3.2.1 Create (13 sector)
and MS Olympic Decathlon. Using the same method, I have failed to make
working NIB images of Shuffleboard and Thief. I am using AppleWin to
test the disk images that I have made.
Non copy protected disks and images (DSK) are no problem, going in
either direction. For copy protected disks, should I be using some
other software? Also, how is it that I have seen DSK images that are
of protected disks? Is there some way to convert NIB to DSK?
I have also had trouble taking some DSK images (apparently protected)
and making a real disk. Frogger and SAM are good examples of this.
