Hi Steve, I used to call the L&L Support BBS back in the day to
download the latest and greatest sysop-uploaded mods from the xfer
area, and code snippets from msg board, and later called your BBS for
same when you took over support. I amassed a pretty hefty collection
of ACOS segments/games/etc that I have on a HD somewhere, but nowhere
near the amount that was on the support BBS. I am starting to play
around w/ my old GBBS drive as others seem to be doing, and have a VB
program working that handles traffic between telnet socket and serial
port. Do you still have the contents of your ACOS xfer folders from
the support BBS? Or has that all gone to the new owner? I would love
to get access to that stuff somehow, and/or see some sort of
repository created, and add my own items to the collection, so that
info isn't lost to the ages. Access subject to verification of
original gbbs serial #, or whatever copyright requires (think I still
have my binder somewhere...)
