Um, you mean *National* (Socialist)--the archetype of

I knew it would be pointed out that Nazi/fascists are
"right-wing". In reality there is no left and right. If we
disregard the third dimension for a minute - the foreign
policy - we end up with a 2 dimensional plane. One axis is
economic freedoms, the other - personal freedoms. (Not my
theory but something I read some 20 years ago and tend to
agree with).
On this plane Democrats are for a bit more personal freedom
and a bit less economic freedom than the Republicans.
Communists and Fascists are pretty close together in the corner
with very little of either freedom. Libertarians are in the
opposite corner - maximum personal and maximum economic freedom.
The "loony Libertarians" tend to take this to extremes.
I don't think the labels "right" and "left" mean much any more.
But we normally associate tight government control over the
industry with the "leftists". And the Nazis definitely had that.
Hitlers methods of dealing with the opposition were not very far
from Stalin's.
Oh, well. Maybe we should move to a different forum of stop this
entirely. If someone is a leftist, please don't get offended. In
personal freedoms I'm likely to the left of you yet :)
