I have my own domain (and server) and configured it to forward mail sentto a certain pattern of addresses to where I see them. I can submit a different address to each vendor that requires it and trace the ones who sell it. Posting to *some* newsgroups did attract a lot of spam, but others like this one does not. Hope it doesn't change :)
