Sorry, Jason, but Wes, Dave and Doug have it right - google
normally takes no responsibility for crap posted via groups
or for email spam originating at gmail. You get, if you get
anything, a generalized wave of the hands, a statement to
the effect "we don't censor our subscribers" and a complete
washing of the hands. Complaining to google is pissing in the
wind.
One has the choice of blocking the sender, blocking the thread
or blocking based on message-id/origin. Alex is, as you can
see, in my killfile; killing the thread .. well, the subject is
just too broad to effectively do the job and, unfortunately, my
newsreader of choice doesn't do message-id kills.
