I am having a bit (OK, a whole lot) of trouble running DOS MASTER. Other than the included documentation are there any additional tip sheets,, idiots guides to, or any thing like that available? Wood
A couple of points I learned whilst setting up dos.master:1. If you get I/O error when you try to run -dos.3.3, it's because you don't have the DOS partition installed. Run dos.install.
2. Don't put the Dos.Master install files on the target drive. The docs mention that dos.install should be run in the same directory as dos.3.3, but this doesn't mean on the destination drive.
3. The target drive has to be EMPTY. If you get free space errors, reformat the drive. I couldn't get any floppies to work, but had C2P on the first partition, which was used to format the target drive. I know ADTPro has a format command as well, but I am not sure if it works.
4. For copying disks to dos.master partitions, I used fud to make a copy of adt in each volume I was planning to use.
5. Fud is run from within dos.master. You can use ADT to copy fud to a floppy, or c2p to copy it from prodos to a DOS 3.3 floppy. Boot the dos.master partition, brun fud,s6,d1, then use it to copy itself to a volume of your choice.
When you're done, Eureka! Dos Partition in a Prodos partition on a CF card. Pretty freakin' cool.
