That was my guess, too, judging from the way they proceeded.
I suppose PC boards are boring in Seattle. ;-)
If all this trouble and uncertainty about travel did one iota of
good, it would be less annoying.

are involved in 'securing' aircraft, the more vulnerable to attack the
system becomes... A corollary then is that with less security, flying
becomes cheaper, more people fly, and the chances of any individual
meeting their end goes down :-)
I find it staggering that anyone would consider the "illusion of
safety" to have any value, sans the PR reps of airlines, and perhaps
the odd insurance company...
Never underestimate how much the average person misperceives risks...
These are the same people who wear magnets to prevent arthritis and
cross the street while talking on their cellphones to save time. ;-)
Heck, some of them even talk to their magnets!
