Seen it before, quite recently, in fact. Maybe try again, a different setting.

Yes, the hard drive image opens and extracts just fine, leaving the resource 
fork alone.

I use WindowsXP's built-in decompressor when it works, and when not, 
then I run 7-Zip, and that takes care of most other compressed files.
