Re: dBase II

I got my copy dBase II, a CP/M program that does require a Z80 CP/M
card, out early this morning and booted it up. It is vintage of the
late 70's. There is a program on it named 'ZIP' which is for Screen
Printout and Form Writer.
ALL CP/M programs for the Apple that I know of, especially of that
era, were only able of handling TeXT files, ie. no graphics. The only
exception to this was GBASIC which was a Microsoft CP/M basic system
that could handle Graphics vice their regular system of MBASIC. Both
systems were for the Z80 that could run on the Apple CP/M system.
In the past couple of months, there was a CP/M group started on Google
groups. You might check there.

The ProDOS program 'Appleworks' is a wordprocessor, spreadsheet, and
database program that is put all together into a single program that
is exclusively for the Apple. maybe your thinking of that.
I only have the 5.25" disk of dBase II, as well as many other CP/M
systems and programs, and a hard copy of the manual. Please let me
know if you would like me to send you a copy of the disk.
