I agree. Not a bad price though if you want a good programmer. I paid
something like $550 for mine a few years back. But I have found them for
$100 and under. Actually I see there's a U84 for less then the MVP. That's
the one to get if you do spend the big bucks. Humm... $260... I may just
bid on it. ;-)
Do you know anything about the older "Sailor" programmer? They do a dance
around providing any specs for it and are clearly trying to get folks to
buy a recent model. Unclear whether the software is even available for
it.
Yeah, like Bill mentions there really isn't any info on them. As far as I
know they are REALLY old. No support is offered or give for them. So it's
a shot in the dark. If it comes with software then I bet it's DOS only -
they are that old. Of course the unit is only $18. May only support EPROMs
though.
And then there's the problem of finding and buying the appropriate
adapters, which can be hard and/or expensive...
