Okay, I've found both the manuals and the disks.  To find the manuals, I
dug out the box in my storage room that I thought they were in but they
weren't there.  Then I got to thinking that I had sorted many of my old
manuals into folders and it turns out they were in the filing cabinet I
recently placed right beside my computer desk.  :-)

Now to scan and make disk images.  Mind you, once I start exploring my
old disks, I might get distracted a little.  :-)
