:-) Well, that device is essentially a 'wireless RS-232 transceiver'
so whether you 'need' one probably depends on the location of your
Apple II relative to your other machines. In my case, the Apple II
lives downstairs in the garage and is quite physically isolated from
my other gear upstairs.
Now that I'm 'transitioning' away from desktop machines at home and to
a laptop, this might actually be a good solution. Once I retire the PC
I'll no longer have a floppy drive or serial port without addons so I
might as well use one of these, connecting it to any 'serial' device
that I happen to posess - the Apple II being the primary one.
