Hi,
I have been testing Micol Advanced Basic GS 3.x, 4.x and now 5.0
(which seems to be a developer build). One thing that puzzled me is
that HPLOT X, Y (which supposed to draw a dot based on last HCOLOR)
does not seem to work, in fact, I have to always use HPLOT X, Y then
HPLOT TO X, Y to draw a dot.
This is what mentioned in the documentation:
--
HPLOT moves the high resolution pointer to the X coordinate and Y
coordinate
stipulated and plots a single point in the latest HCOLOR.
--
It seems to be that HPLOT X, Y works exactly like MOVETO(X, Y) in
QuickDraw, which is why we used HPLOT X, Y to move the pen to the
position before we do a DRAWSTR.
This is what mentioned in the documentation:
--
To add text to the SHR graphics, use DRAWSTR. Svar may be a string
literal or a
string variable. The string stipulated in Svar will be displayed
starting at the current
graphics position. You may wish to use HPLOT to move to the position
you desire.
--
I can't believe this is broken for such a long time and nobody
discovered that HPLOT X, Y don't plot a dot! Is this something that I
done wrong? Thanks!
