Re: TranswarpGS

The ROM version - (EPROM on the Cache card)
The revision on the GALs - (The Lattice chips above the edge
connector, the -A, B, etc on them.)
The clock speed divided by 4.

The clock (Crystal oscillator) is located on the rear top corner of
the card. Divide the number by 4, thats the speed.

If the cache card says "32K" on it, you have a 1.8S ROM on it. no need
to go pulling it off.

The "update" to the GALs is actually to get all -A's on it. This with
the current Sanyo produced 65816 is a better combination than the
originally available 65816's. (Sanyo is a licensee, and the CPU's WDC
sells are made for them by Sanyo) If the CPU has the WDC logo on it
with the framed border around it, not just the letters 'WDC' then it's
the Sanyo manufactured one. Or I should also say, with a date code of
1998 or more for sure. 14MHz or higher, etc.
