It would be better if this wasn't done. Otherwise there would be
partially finished documents floating around on the web (I have had
something similar happen to me.) Such things are almost impossible to
get rid of. Consider for instance a copy was posted for consumption but
the person who hosted the site didn't know the copy was incomplete so it
stays there. Now someone else decides to mirror those files etc, etc.

I don't think you have to worry about the size of the manual. Some of
the info presented there you will already know. There is also a
similarity between the 8 bit 4.5 manual and the GS one with the obvious
exception of GS specific information.
