Yes and IMHO disqualifies it as the latest compiler in development. :)
It's too bad that the MAB developer can't locate any source disks. When
his GS died a lot of stuff went out with it. Given the source it might
have been easy to make it GSoft compatible.

Still, it's legal to use and develop/distribute compiled programs with
and for some folks that is very important.

If you like Applesoft, the Beagle Bros Compiler system is available.
This one greatly reduces compatibility issues and the later ProDOS
version could use available auxiliary ram. It too is freely usable plus
you should be able to extend it for SHR support. Add to that Beagle's
Program Writer and you have a fast and easy to develop BASIC system.
