Re: Firefox GS

Based on the Lynx Web site at the ISC ( http://lynx.isc.org/ ), the latest
version is 2.8.6.

The pine code branched by a new set of developers at the University of
Washington (not related to the ISC, the maintainers of Lynx) and got renamed
to alpine. Pine should be considered dead. The list of changes from pine can
be found at http://www.washington.edu/alpine/changes.html . I don't think it
can be considered "quite advanced." I think it is safe to say that it is just
typical set of new features and bug fixes. But it is something that all pine
users should migrate to.

Lynx is pretty much a dead project too. I'd look at elinks as a more modern
text-based Web Browser.
