Re: GSoft BASIC on 3.5" disk?
IT CAN BE DONE!
This is what I do:
- Remove all documentation and example codes (left 300+K)
- Copy ProDOS over
- Create a System folder with the following files copied over:
Start.GS.OS, GS.OS, Error.Msg, GS.OS.Dev, System.Setup, FSTs, Driivers
- Move GSoft.Sys16 to System folder and renamed to Start
- Move other GSoft files to System folder.
And this is now bootable! I tested all my sample codes, all seems to
work fine.
My only question is: instead of booting straight to text like ProDOS,
it will always start up in graphics and showing loading System 6...
then back to text. Is it possible to go straight to text from the
beginning?
I hope this can help anybody who wanted to create a simple 800K
Applesoft replacement environment! A disk is all you need.
