Re: Firefox GS

The mini-Mozilla builds (a subset of Firefox, basically) for portable devices fail to provide an acceptable experience on my PocketPC phone with a ~200MHz 32bit ARM processor 64MB of RAM and basically unlimited disk space. (I believe the currently available development on this is being scrapped in favor of a rewrite targeted at mobile devices, which means it will diverge even further from the Firefox browser.)

A graphical browser is certainly possible, but it wouldn't be Firefox on the GS itself. (You could have Firefox render on a beefier proxy and stream the graphics down, or something like the Contiki browser on steroids.)

I think everybody knows it is fake... the question is whether it is
possible - one a GS with accelerator and says 4MB RAM. This is a more
popular setup I think for people who still owns a GS... is Firefox
portable for such a machine?

That's my take. If anyone doubts me, they can send me the binaries so
