My serial number is comparable, so I think yours is the model with a
redesigned motherboard that arrived in late '81 (according to
literature) with 256k standard. I don't know about the actual
motherboard revisions, though.
My speaker is equally noisy, but the power supply is dead silent, so
I'm a tad concerned about yours...
