I'm glad to see you got a GS working again and got at least a few programs up
and running. And from another thread it sounds like you'll have System 6.0.1
working properly soon. That's great! Now, for the longer term....
Do you still have a Mac with AppleTalk? If so, you can set up an AppleShare
file server and use the GS's built-in AppleTalk to access it. That would
probably be the quickest, easiest way to solve your file storage and internet
access problems in one fell swoop. You can even boot from an AppleShare
drive, which would take your perhaps unreliable 3.5" drive out of the loop.
Otherwise if you can come accross an Uthernet ethernet card, you can network
that way, accessing your Mac's hard drive via ftp.

Next best would probably be to get a CFFA card:

That will allow you to use a compact flash card as a hard drive. I currently
use an old 256 Meg flashcard from my digital camera, but anything up to a 2-
Gig card will work, and maybe even higher than that. You could then take the
flashcard to a Mac or PC, load it up with software downloaded from the net,
and plug it back into the GS.
Mass storage and at least an indirect connection to the net. Get that and
you'll be in like Flynn!
