Kind of off topic, but yes there has been some plans drawn up for a 'ROM5' 
so to speak.  Only the most preliminary steps have been taken though.  It's 
more hardware (i.e. - the case and what you can fit inside the IIgs) then 
Firmware though.  So don't get confused by the name.  Also this upgrade is 
still quite a ways off.
