Randomly went through some old inCider magazines. I noticed an ad
from the Feb 1992 issue by Zip Technology. The first thing that stood
out was the price for the ZipGS accelerator card back then. Unlike
some other stuff that have relatively lower prices today at eBay than
they originally did, it looks like the ZipGS cards (and also the
ZipChip) are selling higher than they originally cost -- but of
course, I didn't consider inflation.
The other thing that I noticed was that they offered a stock
ZipGS-10. I know that you could upgrade these cards manually today,
but I didn't realized that Zip Technology offered a stock 10MHz
version back then. There was an inquiry on that in the newsgroup
about a year ago:
