about 100 pages of assembly code isn't my cup of tea...  I have done
it, but it's much more fun to invent 100 pages in your head and then
type them in as you go.  Looking at a magazine/PDF/etc and typing
in that much code will kill my interest in the project.

Here is the method I've used in the past:

OCR, quick proof read, run it through the compiler.

keep a list of compiler errors with line numbers

go back to the editor in the assembler, start correcting
errors.
