Yes, that was something which I thought to comment on but I wasn't
certain. Need a higher resolution photo of the logic board.
That chip might be a Z80, or it might be an ASIC along the lines of the
IIe's IOU or MMU. It might even be the keyboard encoder in a weird place
but that doesn't seem likely.
