Happy Anniversary!
I know how you feel.
Hear, hear!
My original ][+ still works (though I haven't used it for years,
since I replaced it with a used //e), and was a constant joy since
December 1980!
I used it heavily from 12/80 until mid-1986, and tricked it out
with lots of cards and hardware mods (like auto-repeat), and it
never needed repair.
Come to think of it, in the many years since, the only "failures"
I've ever had to deal with were replacing/fixing a power supply
and replacing a 0.1uF bypass cap near the CPU that I accidentally
broke with too much incidental flexing (Zip Chip-related ;-).
