ok. thanks for the help. Biggest problem was that i have the
uthernet card in slot 7 and lan slot was assigned to slot 4. I need
to change the lan slot to 7 as i have the uthernet card in slot 7. I
had tried checking dhcp as one of the configurations, but obviously,
with the slot incorrectly set, nothing was going to work. i will
check the box for dhcp. if i check the box for dhcp, marinetti is
still asking for an ip address. should i type in a dummy
address....like 192.168.1.31 or should i go with 0.0.0.0 and dhcp
will have my router assign the ip address on my lan? either way, as i
understand it, dhcp will have the router assign a valid internal lan
ip address....correct?
